HAVERHILL, MA – School Committee Member and candidate for State Representative, Paul Magliocchetti today helped Haverhill Schools get ready for a new school year, donating $1,100 for a new computer cart. This donation is the latest of several Magliocchetti has made throughout the years including donating his salary as a School Committee Member.
“Both my children and I are products of the Haverhill School system. As a graduate, a parent and a School Committee Member, I know our educators do a tremendous job not only preparing our kids for the future, but dealing with a host of social problems,” said Magliocchetti. “This donation, I hope will, in some small part, help our teachers out and let them know that we support the incredible work they do each and every day.”
Magliocchetti added, “ Ensuring our children have the best education possible is one of the main reasons I am running for State Representative. I want to work with our schools to find the avenues for success for our students. Whether that is coming together to solve the social and mental health issues our kids face to reduce the dropout rate, or opening new doors to education and training that provide our children with the skills to have good paying jobs, I will continue to fight for our schools, our teachers and our children.”
Magliocchetti is a first generation American and a lifelong resident of Haverhill. A former Police Athletic League coach and small business owner, Paul currently is an Attorney/Partner at Sheehan, Schiavoni, Jutras and Magliocchetti, LLP. In addition he also serves as a member of the Haverhill School Committee, Chairman of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of Bethany Homes. Paul and his wife Julie have three children, Massimo, Isabella and Lucas.
